In the Summer, I give my dog a frozen chicken broth cube as a cooling treat when it gets hot outside. When we’re outside most of the day, I usually give her a couple a day spaced hours apart.
I mix equal amounts of low sodium chicken broth and water and freeze in ice cube trays.
I put the cubes in a zip lock bag and keep it in the freezer.
My dog loves the frozen treat and it helps to cool her down too…
What a great idea! My dogs would love this. Their mouths are already watering. I’m freezing a batch tomorrow.

E. C., it so happens that, tonight, I am cooking rice and chicken for my dog. He’s the only one I have to cook for in my household, so he does get spoiled. (I’ve never done this for an animal.) So, I love your frozen chicken broth cubes!
