It was a dreary rainy day Saturday. It stayed foggy all day and we even had thunder.
To cheer myself up I made some yeast rolls. I’m happy to say that the taste and texture was like the rolls my Mom use to make. These were the best rolls I have ever made. My husband loved them. I’m tickled pink to finally make rolls that I’m proud of.

I cooked a delicata squash to go with supper. It was mighty tasty. On my ‘Squash & Other Foods’ blog I posted some info about the squash and also about how I cooked it. You’re welcome to pop over and read about it, if you want too.
I reckon this is all for me at the moment.
Wishing you all sunshine and smiles.

I’m sure it’s mirky, but that’s a beautiful photo! And those yeast rolls look amazing. Hope the weather perks up for you soon.
Thanks Leah
I’m hoping for a bit of sunshine too. But if not, I can always enjoy making more tasty rolls.
Hi E.C.
Even though it was misty and raining, it all looks so peaceful there, it really is very nice.
Hang on to those rolls, I’m popping over.
Hi Mags
Thanks so much. Sorry, but I only made one pan of rolls and they were gone by the time I posted. My husband thought they were delicious. lol
Gorgeous photo of your foggy day. And those rolls are BEAUTIFUL!
Sounds like you made the best of a rainy day!
Thanks Dianna
Today is another dreary day, so you know what that means… more baking to cheer me up.
Well you see, that rainy day brought you blessings in the way of rolls! Margie
Thanks Margie
I like tasty blessings like these were.
Beautiful view EC! The rolls look awesome
Pass a teeny bit of buttah! We had sun yesterday but it was a bit chilly. We need your rain!
Thanks Sduto
It’s so dreary again today. Maybe you could send me some sunshine and I’ll send you some rain. Sounds like a fair trade to me.
oooh….I love that ‘foggy’ photo. So pretty. And bravo on the rolls. They jump up and down at my house when I don’t burn the kind that come pop out of the can!
Thanks Adrienne
lol I bet you’re a better cook then you let on… but curiously, I jump for joy too when I don’t burn my rolls. lol So I think you’re just fine.
The rolls are yummy!! Don’t they make the house smell soooo good!! I’ve started using frozen rolls since there are only two of us to eat them.;( The weather is dreary here today too, so I’m going to make cookies, unless I have to help get in a supply of wood for the furnace.
Hi Charlotte
I agree, the aroma of rolls baking does make the house smell good and it’s comforting too. Cookies are great too. Oh goodness the aroma of cookies baking makes me happy just thinking about it. Cooking and baking aromas are like down-home aroma therapy for free. I like that.
Your rolls look delicious, I can practically smell ‘em! Interesting squash, too.
Thanks Patti
They did smell awesome. It’s always fun to find new interesting and tasty vegetables.
