Reblogged from Enjoying Gardening:
I haven't been blogging at all here lately. I've been busy. Our veggies have started to come in. We spend a great deal of time picking and preserving them for winter. Our cucumbers, beans and squash are doing really well. We've given away oodles of squash and still have oodles more.
We've got about a dozen or so pints of dill pickles put up and about a half dozen quarts of green beans in the freezer.
My latest Gardening Update on my garden blog

Hi,
You have been very busy indeed. You have done a lot of work getting everything in jars and the freezer. What a shame about the weather and the pests as well, very hard to keep pests under control once they get a foothold.
Great photos, I know the deer can be a nuisance but I do love the photo of the deer.
Thanks Mags
Gardening and canning does take up alot of time, but it’s enjoyable and gives us a sense of accomplishment. Not to mention tasty foodies.
The weather and the pests are trying on the nerves. The deer is one critter that we love seeing even when it’s munching on our garden. To us, Deer are like the angels of the woodlands and to see them in our yard is a blessing.
Wow – no wonder you haven’t been blogging much lately. Love the watermelon picture.
lol Thanks Renee
The garden does tend to require alot of time, but it’s worth it.
We’re so excited about our little watermelon. We have high hopes for it to be a refreshing treat one day.
It is so satisfying when your garden can start to be harvested. It sounds like a very good start for you and so much put away already.
Hi Karen
Welcome to my blog.
Thanks for visiting and leaving me a happy comment.
I hope you’ll visit again soon.
I knew this was gong to be a busy summer for me, so I didn’t put a garden in this spring. I do, however, have a good crop of spinach that reseeded itself!
Hey Margie
I love Spinach, but I didn’t have but about a dozen plants that made it. So I guess you and I are just the opposites this year.
That’s lots of work, but it’s paying off well E.C.! I like your furry helper keeping an eye on the garden too
Thanks WS
My Furry Helper is a the best and most lovable pest control of all.
