As much as I’ve enjoy my dehydrated fruit sitting pretty in a bowl on the table, I decided it was time to make crafts with them. I made a wreath and a pint canning jar lamp.
I really like the the battery operated tea lights. I got the idea for this little canning jar lamp because I have a big electric canning jar lamp. I absolutely love my big canning jar lamp and this little one has a charm of it’s own.
I’m happy to say that the dehydrated fruit was easier to glue down than I thought they would be. I can’t decide if I want to put a sealer on it or not. I’ll live with it awhile and then decide.
These two dehydrated fruit crafts was quite fun to plan out and fun to make.
Have you made any dehydrated food crafts?
I hope you all have a creative and fun weekend.

I’ve never worked with dried fruit. But I AM making Valentine Cards this week!
Have a good weekend, EC!
Aw cool Dianna,
I hope you’ll post some photos of your cards. I’d love to see them. I hope your weekend is a good one too.
I’ll have to do that one day, E.C.! Thanks for the encouragement!
You’re welcome Dianna
You are something else E.C.! Waste not, want not. Very nice indeed. Margie
Thanks Margie
I tried to use all the fruit, but had some starfruit leftover, so I did pretty good all-in-all.
Love the canning jar lamps! Great idea. Got my mango but it is hard as a rock. Waiting for it to ripen up and then I will let you know..
Enjoy your weekend E.C.!
Thanks Pix
The canning jar lamps are a favorite of mine. I think they’re so nostalgic and charming.
Our mangoes was hard as a rock like that, as you can tell from my 1st post about them. After a few days it ripened right up though. I was a bit dismayed that the mango has a huge seed in the middle and it can’t be sliced like an apple. When I discovered how to do the fancy cut I was much happier with it.
Hope your weekend is a good one.
Love that little pint jar lamp! Your wreath is pretty, too. I’ve never worked with dried fruit, so I’ll enjoy looking at yours.
Thanks Patti
I’m glad you like the lamp. It’s my favorite too. The wreath looks better in real life than in the photo. I wish my photography skills were better. lol
I like the wreath. It remind me that years ago we have a rope of dried fruit that we bought and hung in the kitchen.
Thanks Judy
I like the idea of a rope of fruit. I may make one of those sometime.
You DID it, E.C.!!! I knew you’d come up with something fantabulous with that dried fruit(!) I love the little canning jar lamp. I have some pieces of dried fruit in two different batches of potpourri, and they add lots of color, texture, and shape. The tea light really adds fascination to your cute decorated jar. The wreath’s very attractive, too. Thanks for such great fruity Friday ideas.
