I bought some more fruit that I’ve been wanting to try, the kiwi. I’ve eaten candied ones a year or so ago, but I knew that wasn’t the same as fresh or what we supermarket shoppers call fresh. lol
My husband and I gave the fuzzy little fruits a try last evening.
To me, they taste quite a bit like a fresh off the vine strawberry with just a hint of blackberry in there too.
They had a wonderful full taste so sweet they were almost tart.
Of the 3 fruits that I’ve tried here lately: mango, starfruit and kiwi, I like kiwi the best.
We enjoy trying new foods. It’s fun too because we never know what to expect.
I wonder what will be the next new fruit or veggie we’ll try. 
Have you tried any new fruits or veggies here lately.

There are so many foods I’ve never tasted. Apparently my childhood pickiness has stayed with me well into adulthood. I’ve never tried kiwi, but just might after your “review”!

I thought the same thing about the kiwi, E.C., when introduced to it by a neighbor. I need to learn how to pick them out, the ones I bought are usually too tart. (Maybe not quite ripe?)
I love to use kiwis on top of my tarts. An easy dessert is to line a tart pan or pie plate with a pie crust and bake it. Then filled the baked crust with purchased lemon curd, and top that with sliced strawberries, blueberries, and kiwi. Blackberries and raspberries, too, if you can find them. Simple, yummy, and beautiful. Company thinks you are a genius.
I love Kiwi fruit and buy it often. Have you tried them with pavlova? They compliment each other wonderfully!
btw – did you know the word Kiwi is another name for a person who is born in New Zealand? There is a small bird called a Kiwi, native to NZ so I guess that’s why. . Perhaps I should write a post on the Kiwi birdl? lol

We love kiwi! And we will be trying the mango today. Finally!
I enjoy kiwi, but it has to be perfectly ripe. I don’t like them too green or too overripe – sort of like a banana in that respect.
